Father of Medicine
Thai massage is one of the four traditional branches of Thai medicine. Said to be a close associate of Buddha, Dr. Shivago Komarpaj is credited with the creation of Thai medicine over 2000 years ago, including Thai massage. Thai massage is a type of bodywork therapy based on an overall treatment of the whole person: body, mind and spirit. The therapy includes treating the electromagnetic field which surrounds, infuses and brings the body to life through pressure and manipulative massage.
